Tsunami tragedy

Thank you to all staff and students who have contributed to the Monash University Tsunami Appeal established following the Boxing Day tragedy.

In order to ensure this money is donated to the nominated charity organisations in time to best assist those affected by the tragedy it has been decided that the appeal will end on Friday, April 29.

Staff who have decided to make an ongoing commitment by salary sacrificing donations should be assured these donations will continue to be deducted and the money sent to the relevant organisations to provide continued support to victims of the tragedy.

A message of condolence

The University extends heartfelt sympathy and compassion to all those who have experienced bereavement and loss in this tragic event. Monash staff, students and families who are suffering are especially in our thoughts. May you find the strength to face the difficult days ahead with hope and courage.
