Poster Sessions
The Poster Sessions are a new initiative for the 2008 Vice-Chancellor's Showcase
of Teaching Excellence. The idea originated from the Deans who felt that showcasing
projects that had been supported by Learning Teaching and Performance Funding (LTPF)
in 2007 and/or 2008 would be a great way to celebrate and share ideas across the
faculties and campuses. Each faculty is asked to have at least one person available
to speak to their poster during the poster sessions. We envisage these sessions
will be informal as staff meander through and contemplate the display.
The brief is to convey in a visual format the key elements of the project covering
such aspects as:
- The purpose of the project
- A brief description of the project
- How it contributes to student learning
- Evaluation and feedback to date
The style and format for the poster is left to the discretion of each faculty. CALT
will provide each faculty with 2 - A1 size black poster boards on which the material
can be assembled. We suggest that you consider the use of photographs, illustrations,
graphs, charts and diagrams and that any text is bold and clear.
If you would like any assistance with the poster either advice or construction please
contact lorraine.bennett@calt.monash.edu.au.
