Overview

Following up on our success in 2008 with more than 1000 people registering their commitment to Earth Hour, Monash will participate again during a peak campus hour.

Students and staff are requested to participate by switching off all non-essential lighting, computers, equipment and appliances provided it does not compromise core business activities and safety.

Getting there

Use this opportunity to leave the car at home:

• Take the bus, train or tram. Visit the Metlink website or call 131 638 for directions.
• Take the shuttle bus. Monash has free shuttle buses for staff and students.
• Ride. Cycling 5km or less the bike is faster than a car. You can also combine cycling with train travel to get anywhere in Melbourne.
• Walk. Everyone needs at least 30 minutes exercise a day.
