Travelling to Clayton campus

Clayton campus is located on the corner of Wellington Road and Princes Highway, 20 km from Melbourne's city centre.

By car: the trip will take about 30 minutes from the city centre along the Monash Freeway. From Melbourne airport the trip takes 45 minutes. (Melways map ref. 70 G10)

By train: to get to Clayton campus by public transport, take any of the Dandenong, Pakenham or Cranbourne line trains to Huntingdale station then catch a bus to the campus. Buses leave the station for Clayton campus every 15-20 minutes.

By bus:

  • Bus route 630 - Elwood Beach to Monash University
  • Bus route 631 - Southland to Waverley Gardens
  • Bus route 703 - Middle Brighton to Blackburn (SmartBus)
  • Bus route 733 - Oakleigh to Box Hill
  • Bus route 737 - Croydon to Monash University
  • Bus route 742 - Chadstone to Eastland (via the north end of campus)
  • Bus route 800 - Chadstone to Chadstone (stops on Princes Hwy, not the campus)
  • Bus routes 802/804/862 - Chadstone to Dandenong (via Oakleigh)
  • Bus route 900 - Caulfield to Rowville (SmartBus)

Parking at Clayton campus

Parking permits are required but short-term visitor parking zones are also available. Blue, Red and Yellow zones are available for parking after 5pm on weekdays and weekends.
