1. Faculty of Business and Economics - strengths and directions
Facilitator: Professor Robert Brooks, Course Director, Bachelor of Business and Commerce
The Faculty of Business and Economics will discuss the future directions and course offerings that make it one of Australia 's leaders in business education.
2. Faculty of Information Technology - Schools Relationship program
Presenter: Mr Andrew Owen
This session will provide careers teachers information regarding the Faculty of Information Technology's school relationship program and the benefits it can bring to your school. This includes; competitions, mentoring, sponsored awards and much more.
The session will also include a brief discussion on our industry based learning programs, games development and multimedia.
3. From decisions to incisions: an overview of courses in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences
Presenter: Mr Andrew Evans, Faculty Manager
The largest of its type in Australia, the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences offers a breadth unique among Victorian universities, with more than 35 undergraduate degrees spread over multiple campuses in Victoria and overseas. While excelling in traditional courses such as Nursing and being Australia’s largest provider of Medicine education, the Faculty increasingly attracts high quality students for new disciplines such as its Health Sciences Degree. Our speakers will present a snapshot of opportunities and pathways in this exciting and diverse faculty.

A session outlining the professional development and postgraduate opportunities Monash offers for secondary school teachers, and those that assist them in the classroom. From Organisational Leadership to Integration Aides - the Faculty of Education has something for everyone.

1. Experience Art & Design at Monash – a tour
Presenter: Mr Tom Hazell and academic staff from the Faculty
This session is an opportunity to tour one of Australia’s leading educators in the field of Art and Design. Courses are structured around students taking one studio program, giving them the opportunity to master a major studio practice. A tour of our impressive studio facilities will allow participants to “Experience Art & Design at Monash” firsthand. Academic staff will provide further insight into this vibrant and dynamic faculty and its courses.
2. Environmental Science – a 21st Century challenge
Presenter: Associate Professor Tony Patti, Associate Dean
With demand for graduates spanning a huge range of industries and roles, environmental science is a pertinent, exciting and challenging area of study and research. It encompasses many science disciplines including biology, chemistry, geology, geography, mathematics and physics and therefore is of interest to many prospective students. This session will provide a range of perspectives on the study of environmental science including those of academics and current students in this course.
3. Faculty of Law – a discussion with the Dean
Presenter: Professor Arie Freiberg, Dean
Dean of Law, Professor Arie Freiberg, will talk about law programs, including direct entry from year 12, the advantages of double degrees, the difference between the Bachelor of Laws and the Master of Laws (Juris Doctor); and the Faculty’s proposed move to the Caulfield Campus.
4. Engineering our world
Presenter: Professor John Sheridan, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Engineering
Imagine a world in which vehicles raise barely a whisper and emit only water vapour. Where parks have replaced urban freeways and living standards have improved dramatically. Where forest cover is increasing and CO2 levels are falling. Engineers are working to make such a world a reality. Come along to find out about studying engineering at Monash and how your students can become engineering leaders of the future.

Transport and Parking at Caulfield campus
We strongly recommend that those who are able catch public transport to the event. Caulfield Railway Station is adjacent to the campus. Four lines stop at the station: Cranbourne, Dandenong, Frankston and Pakenham.
Free parking will be available in the multi-level car park. Entry to the car park for this event is from Princess Avenue only. Those using this car park will need to identify themselves to the parking attendant on the day. Additional parking details and maps of the venue for the first session will be included in the confirmation package.
Please do not park in any other areas (surrounding streets have time limits) as you will be booked by the local council.
