Monash University Indigenous Scholarship for Achievement and Equity

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, and
• studying Australian Year 12 or IB in 2008, or
• a continuing Monash University undergraduate student, and
• enrolled or intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree at Monash campus in Australia, and 
• from one or more of Monash University’s defined equity or personal disadvantage groups.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible Year 12 Indigenous Australian students based on their ENTER score or equivalent and need. In the case of continuing students, assessment is based on academic performance at Monash University.

Value

$6,000 per 48 credit points of study, for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a pass grade average (50 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship can be deferred.
