Monash University Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences Scholarships

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
• studying Australian Year 12 or IB in 2008, or
• a commencing or continuing Monash University postgraduate (coursework) student, and
• enrolled or intending to enrol in any of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences’ degrees at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible Year 12 students based on their ENTER score or equivalent, or selection ranking in the case of the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery. Students must have achieved an ENTER score or equivalent of at least 95.00. Postgraduate students will be selected based on highest academic performance with a minimum grade average of 80 per cent in previous tertiary studies.

Value

$6,000 per 48 credit points of study, for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a distinction grade average (70 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship can be deferred.
