Introducing Monash University

Established in 1958, with its first intake in 1961 with an enrolment of just 363 students, Monash University has grown to become one of Australia’s largest and most distinguished universities, with more than 55,000 students and 6,000 staff across its six Australian and two overseas campuses.

Over the years, Monash has gained an international reputation for innovation and excellence and is known as a vibrant and energetic place of learning, enriched by a dynamic and diverse group of students of different ages and varying backgrounds. Monash offers its students a diverse range of relevant and flexible courses grouped within a faculty structure, with 10 faculties offering more than 140 undergraduate courses.

Monash offers more than $40m annually in scholarships based on merit and equity, and provides an extensive and subsidised study abroad and exchange program.
