Study abroad and exchange

Our global network gives you a global perspective.

Our programs and travel grants make it easy for you to spend a semester or more at one of our international campuses or with one of our academic partners. We've also developed innovative degrees, like the Bachelor of Arts (Global), which make it compulsory to study abroad.

Studying abroad gives you an international perspective and adds breadth and depth to your career. This gives you the chance to experience new cultures, learn life skills and find your place in the global community. You can also make international contacts and collaborate with like-minded scholars.

So what are your options? Consider a stint at a different Monash campus. We have campuses in Australia, Malaysia and South Africa, and research centres in Italy and India.

Or you can benefit from our international exchange program, which connects Monash to more than 115 universities in 25 different countries.

For short-term or one semester study, see our international study programs.

Remember, you can also volunteer or intern with different charities worldwide.

Students from other universities

Many students choose Monash as their destination for an international experience. We host hundreds of students each year who come for a semester or a year before returning to their home university to complete their course. Choosing Monash as an international exchange or study abroad student opens up a world of opportunity.
