Received better results than you expected?

• Consider adding to your preferences new courses that you wanted to do but didn't think you would get into.
• If you add a new course, don't forget that you must have completed the prerequisite subjects and met any extra requirements.
• In some cases, it is not possible to add a course at Change of Preference time (for example the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery).
• It's very important that you do not add new courses to your list just because you now have the marks that might make selection possible. You should only apply for courses you are interested in, motivated to study and believe you can do well in.

Scholarships and bursaries

• Monash University offers a diverse range of scholarships and bursaries to support and encourage students wishing to undertake undergraduate study at the University.
• Scholarship applications are made through VTAC until 5pm on 30 October.
• Late scholarship applications may be accepted; dependent on numbers available, and students should contact the scholarships office for further details.

Double degrees

A student studying a double degree undertakes two separate degrees simultaneously. A double degree will give you the chance to:

• stretch yourself
• broaden your knowledge
• study for two degrees concurrently
• enjoy the diversity of study options
• graduate with two different bachelor degrees
• have greater career options into the future

Monash double degree courses are offered across all Monash faculties. Most involve either one or two years extra study. They are applied for using unique VTAC codes. For further information about double degree courses, visit Course finder.
