Step 1: Find the Monash course that is right for you

• Use the Monash course finder to find a Monash courses
• Purchase a VTAC Guide from your local newsagent
• Meet a Monash adviser and discuss your study and career options

Step 2: Check the entry requirements

• Many courses have specific prerequisite subjects and entry requirements such as interviews and folio submission
• Check the minimum entry requirements
• You may refer to 2009 IB scores for each course as an indicator for 2010 entry requirements. These are published in the Undergraduate Course Guide 2010 and in Course Finder online when available.

Step 3: Submit an application

• Interstate applicants studying Australian Year 12 wishing to apply for Monash undergraduate degrees need to submit an application directly to the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC).
• You must apply online via the VTAC website. The site fully outlines the application procedure you must follow and the cost involved.
• Enter the VTAC course codes for the courses and campuses you wish to apply for. All course codes must end with the number 3. This identifies you as an international student and that the program is available to international students.
• Be realistic with your preferences and weigh up all of your options. Have you considered opening the doors to Monash University through Monash College.
• Ensure you meet the pre-requisites subjects and complete the extra requirements as stated in the VTAC Guide.

Step 4: Offer stage

• If successful, Monash University will send an offer pack to the mailing address on your application form. Please ensure this address is correct and contains the most up-to-date contact information

• An offer pack will be sent that includes:
• A letter of offer
• Acceptance documents
• Essential information to help you prepare for life at Monash
• More information is available to you on making the right choice.

Step 5: Accept your offer

• Once you have received your offer from Monash, accept your offer and send it back to Monash, together with payment for your first semester as outlined in your offer letter
• Please ensure you state clearly the Department of Immigration and Citizenship office where you will lodge your student visa application
• Monash will then send you an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment by email which you can use to apply for your student visa. The electronic Confirmation of Enrolment is one of many documents required by Department of Immigration and Citizenship to assess your student visa application.

Step 6: Applying for your student VISA

Apply for your student visa and arrive on time for enrolment and registration.
