Important update

Please note that Monash University now requires Non relatives (Family friends) to submit a Working with Children Check (WWC) as well as Police check before approval as a family friend can occur. This change is effective from 5 January 2009 for students who will be studying from Semester 2/2009 onwards.

Evidence of these checks is required before either the eCOE or CAAW can be issued to a student under age 18. Once this change is implemented, it will be an ongoing requirement for non-relatives to undergo a Working with Children Check.

How do you complete a Working with Children Check?

To request a WWC form you will need to go to the Department of Justice website by following the link. Please note that you cannot download this form directly from the Department of Justice website, you will have to request a form via the website so that it can be sent to you.

Alternatively your care-giver (non-relative) can visit their nearest Australia Post outlet which can be found at www.auspost.com.au.
