Organise a Monash-approved care-giver service

Organise a Monash-approved care-giver service to act as your carer in Australia. (You must meet all the costs of this service). All staff of care-giver services and adults providing Homestay accommodation to international students under the age of 18 are required to provide Monash annually with a current Police check and a Working With Children check.

Step 1 Contact and make appropriate arrangements with a Monash University approved care-giver service.
Step 2 Complete Under 18 care arrangements form (pdf 191kb)
Step 3 Download (or complete form sent to you in under 18 package) the 'Parental/guardian authorisation for underage access' form (pdf 100kb), have your parents or guardian sign the form and provide the form to Monash University International Admissions with your acceptance and accommodation and welfare documents.
Step 4 Complete International Admissions Acceptance form (pdf 318kb) and provide payment
Step 5 Send the completed and appropriately signed forms to Monash University International Admissions office
Step 6 Obtain the signed Department of Immigration and Citizenship Education Provider Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation/Welfare'(CAAW) form and your electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) from Monash University International Admissions. An eCOE will be issued after the required deposit and acceptance documents have been received.
Step 6 Submit both forms to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship with visa application form 157A. You will need to provide the Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation/Welfare form along with your electronic Confirmation of Enrolment and visa application form to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship before your student visa will be issued to you.
