Orientation

Orientation (or 'O Week' as it is often referred to) is a program of information sessions, tours and events for commencing students designed to help you get to know Monash University and your campus. It is very important that you attend Orientation on your campus. The program will: 

The program will:

  • introduce you to the services and facilities at Monash University
  • introduce you to your faculty
  • give you important information about studying at Monash University and living in Australia to help you settle in
  • provide you with information on local government services and the local community in general
  • give you the opportunity to take part in activities and to make friends with other commencing students and senior students before starting your course
  • allow you to learn more about student support services and student representative groups including the international student organisations.

For more information about Orientation, and the specific dates at your campus, visit the University's Orientation website. You will be able to access the huge variety of the activities provided by the various departments of the University including the student association.

At registration and enrolment, you will receive more information about the specific activities happening on your campus.

Orientation for exchange and study abroad students

Please note that Monash Abroad runs a separate orientation program for exchange and study abroad students.
