Experience Monash at the Clayton campus gives you the opportunity to not only learn about the courses offered but also the chance to see and get to know the campus. In addition to the Workshops, you can explore the campus by participating in the Monash Discovery Challenge, or view our student accommodations nearby.
If you are a Year 10, 11 or 12 student:
- Find out about the courses which are offered at the Clayton campus
- Get a taste of what it is like to study at Monash
- Discover the range of facilities, services and accommodation options
- Participate in a range of workshops run by current students and staff

Workshop 1:
- Engineering: What is Engineering
If you enjoy Maths or Science consider a career in Engineering. This session will explain what Engineering is, the many branches and wide applications. Current students will give their perspective on what it is like to study engineering and showcase some of their work.
- Information Technology: Computer Boot Camp
Curious about where a career in IT can take you? Come and check out a session of the Computer Games Boot Camp, an interactive event on everything connected to computer games.
- Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences: Experiences in Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash
Have you considered a career in Medicine, Nursing or Health Sciences? Hear from current students and graduates in the field about their experiences within their degree.
- Business and Economics: An overview of courses and features of our programs
Hear from our current business students about their experiences and find out more about Business and Economics courses at Monash

- Journalism: Journalism, Power and Ethics
From Frontline to The Hollow Men, we're all pretty familiar with some of the cynical ethical decisions that go into producing the daily news. But real journalists have to handle impossible dilemmas under pressure in the field. In this presentation we look at some examples from war and disaster zones, and the consequences that flow from decisions journalists make.

Workshop 2:
- Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences: Nanotechnology and the Science of Medicines
Pharmaceutical Science plays a core role in improving human health and wellbeing by researching and developing reliable, accessible and effective treatments for patients. This hands on workshop will explore how nanotechnology is used in the science of medicine.
- Information Technology: Computer Boot Camp
Curious about where a career in IT can take you? Come and check out a session of the Computer Games Boot Camp, an interactive event on everything connected to computer games.
- Law: A question of self-defence...and facebook friends.
Renee, a spoilt brat from a private school in Q, is charged with an assault against a fellow student named Prudence. In a sordid tale of fraud, catty school girls and death threats; we invite our guests to be the jury. Following the court proceedings, Monash Law School Ambassadors will give students a glimpse into what life is really like when studying law at Monash.
- Science: Marvellous Mathematical Activity
Learn first hand about the Faculty of Science during this fun and challenging Mathematical activity in the Science Computer Laboratory. During this activity you will learn about the many branches of Science and the wide variety of courses offered through the Faculty of Science, as well as experiencing some of the practical applications of a Science based degree.
- Study abroad:
Want to travel while you're studying? A year at a foreign university is loads of fun and will also enhance your study experience in a variety of ways. Come along to learn about Monash's extensive Study Abroad program and hear from students who've recently returned from Study Abroad.

Workshop 3:
- Monash Clayton Discovery Challenge
Explore the Clayton campus, discover the clues and answer the
questions. This activity allows you to learn about the University's
history and facilities, at your own pace.
- Transition presentation
Being a university student is an amazing experience, but very
different from being at school. Learn about the issues you might
face and get some useful advice from current students
on what to expect and how to manage.
- Parent information session
This presentation and Q&A session gives parents the opportunity to
find out more about accommodation options, student support,
scholarships, admission and fees.
