Career opportunities

This degree will open a range of opportunities in midwifery, including in antenatal, birth and postnatal areas. You could also specialise in neonatal, maternal, child health care or other fields with further study.

As a nurse, you could work in many different service areas, including acute hospital care, mental health, rehabilitation or aged and community-based care.

As a nurse and midwife, your training will be especially valuable in rural and remote areas, across Australia and around the world.

Professional recognitions

Australian

Graduates can apply to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse and gain endorsement as a midwife.

Admissions for this course are not applicable for international students.
