Membership with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) will allow you to build a career as an accountant or auditor (external or internal) or consultant in private practice, commerce and industry, the academic environment or in government. Areas of specialisation include finance and costing, taxation, computer auditing, forensic auditing, international accounting and many others.
Those graduates wishing to seek membership with the SAICA will be required to complete a certificate in the theory of accountancy (CTA) or a fourth year equivalent at a SAICA-accredited university (until such time as the Monash fourth year has been SAICA accredited).
At Monash South Africa this degree is accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).
