Graduates from this double degree will have an exciting combination of journalism and science skills. Our graduates work all over the world. They work in print and electronic media, scientific research in a variety of disciplines, science roles that require strong writing or reporting skills, and media roles where knowledge of science is an advantage. They work for the government, major corporations and themselves. The range of career options depends on the subjects chosen but, given we offer a highly sought-after combination of skills, graduates will be able to explore many career paths.
Examples of roles that graduates can pursue include news journalist for a local paper, science researcher at a prestigious university, technical writer for a pharmaceutical company, science reporter for a major metropolitan newspaper, communications advisor for a federal or state government department, or self-employed freelance writer.
