Why study Master of Islamic Studies?

This course offers a broad and comparative introduction to the social, historical and political aspects of Islam. It covers a range of areas and disciplines such as international relations theories and practice, human rights, international business and concepts of nationalism and post-colonialism. The history of Islam and its civilisation, diversity of thoughts and interpretations, geographical spread, challenges of modernity and globalisation and the practice of Islam in the west is explored.

Enrolment obligation

International students enrolling in a CRICOS-registered course can study no more than 25% of their course by distance and/or online learning. Students cannot enrol exclusively in distance and/or online learning study in any compulsory study period. See standard 9.4 of The National Code 2007.
