The course provides the opportunity to gain a truly international education. Students complete an international studies major and will travel and study overseas during their degree. A minor is chosen from studies that complement the global theme, such as languages, politics and cultural studies. Students must study overseas for at least one semester of the degree, but may do so for up to three semesters, either at Monash Malaysia, Monash South Africa or an approved partner university anywhere in the world. They may also study up to two semesters by off-campus learning.
Graduates may find employment in international relations or trade, foreign affairs, diplomacy, politics and government, environmental research or planning, or international development.
