You will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or its equivalent and could work as a registered nurse, paramedic or paramedic nurses in a range of emergency health settings, including with Ambulance Victoria.
After completing this double degree, you can register as a general nurse (division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and gain endorsement as a paramedic.

Delivered at our Peninsula campus, the course will open exciting opportunities in ambulance and community-based health services and disaster response teams here and overseas - wherever combined emergency and ward skills are needed.
As a qualified paramedic nurses, you will play a key role in regular emergency responses, community-based triage and pre-hospital and in-hospital care.
Your role will prove critical at times of multi-victim disasters, when your communication, leadership and clinical-reasoning skills as a nurse will come to the fore.
The course is taught by leading nursing and paramedic researchers and practitioners with links to The Alfred Hospital, which boasts Victoria's busiest emergency department, and the Monash Medical Centre, one of the state's major teaching hospitals.
The course includes workplace experiences in ambulance, hospital and community-based settings across metropolitan and rural Victoria.
