Monash Honours students have outstanding research training.
In addition to being able to pursue careers in the traditional fields of physiotherapy, in hospitals, health centres, aged care and the private sector, Honours graduates have a demonstrated ability to conduct advanced research.
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) program is an alternative pathway for eligible students enrolled in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course. It allows students the opportunity to develop research skills beyond the comprehensive research component already existing within the Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Students undertaking the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) program will produce a research thesis and therefore be eligible to apply for higher degree by research opportunities, research scholarships. They will also be able to apply complex research skills in clinical practice.
