Accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (UK) as equivalent to an MEng degree from a recognised UK university (students who complete an approved major sequence in chemical engineering)

Entry requirements

Minimum entrance requirements

Equivalent Australian Year 12

VCE prerequisites

Units 3 and 4-a study score of at least 35 in English (ESL) or 30 in any other English, and a study score of at least 25 in chemistry, mathematical methods (CAS) and in one of physics or specialist mathematics.

International Baccalaureate subject prerequisites

  • A score of at least 5 in English SL or 4 in English HL or 6 in English B SL or 5 in English B HL, and
  • A score of at least 4 in chemistry SL or 3 in chemistry HL, and
  • A score of at least 4 in mathematics SL or 4 in further mathematics SL or 3 in mathematics HL.

Applications for Semester 1 open on the 1st March preceding the year of entry, and close on the 15th January of the year of entry.
