This program is for top-ranking graduates of a nutrition or dietetic course. Students develop their research skills gain a deeper understanding of a selected aspect of human nutrition.
The program consists of a significant research project and a compulsory coursework component. Projects can be chosen from either clinical or community/population nutrition areas and will be supervised by an experienced member of the Nutrition and Dietetics staff.
Admission Information for Domestic Students:
Completed the pass degree of Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Monash University, or a comparable graduate qualification in Dietetics from another tertiary institution or completed a science-based degree with substantial nutrition content at Monash University, or another approved tertiary institution.
A combined average of 70% or higher for semesters in the final two years of their degree
The Monash Honours degree allows high-achieving students the chance to further investigate their own interests within the field of nutrition and dietetics, and to learn valuable research skills.
Honours graduates stand out from the pack, and often have an advantage over graduates with similar degrees.
Completed the pass degree of Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Monash University, or a comparable graduate qualification in Dietetics from another tertiary institution.
A combined average of 70% or higher for semesters 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics degree, or equivalent performance in the final 2 years of a Dietetic degree from another tertiary institution.

Students entering this degree will be required to have a 70% average in the 3rd and 4th years of their undergraduate degree.
Gaining the required result in one of the following tests of English language:
IELTS score of 7.0 with no individual band score less than 6.5.
a TOEFL minimum test score of either;
in the written TOEFL, 600 with a Test of Written English (TWE) score of at least 5.0; or
in the internet-based TOEFL, an overall score of at least 100 with at least 24 in the written section and no less than 20 in any other section.
