Master of Health Professional Education for 2010

Course overview

This program is designed for health professional educators wishing to study contemporary evidence-based educational practices and to undertake high quality educational coursework and/or research. The course can be undertaken in one of three ways, each of which commences with the Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education (or an approved equivalent) plus: a further 48 credit points of coursework units; a further 24 credit-points of coursework units and a 24 credit point thesis; a further 12 credit points of coursework units and a 36 credit point thesis. This course is not available to international students for study in Australia, it is only available via off-campus learning in your home country.

The course offers a strong foundation for health professionals wishing to develop a career path in clinical education at the level of planning, policy, delivery or research.

English requirements for international students

IELTS 6.5 with individual band scores required at 6.5 for Reading, 6.5 for Listening, 6.0 for Writing and 6.0 for Speaking; TOEFL 580 with a TWE score of at least 4.5; Computer-based TOEFL, a minimum score of 237 with an ER of at least 4.5; or an internet-based TOEFL, an overall score of 90 with at least 22 in the written section, and no section lower than 20.
