Career opportunities

This course provides graduates with the knowledge to work as entrepreneurs and managers in science-based start-up companies, in science policy development, in project management and consulting, and in research and development management.

Entry requirements

International entry requirements

Applicants must have completed an Australian bachelor degree or an equivalent qualification with a major in science or technology and a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60% or an equivalent GPA as determined by the Faculty. Applicants will be ranked and selected based on their entire academic record.

English requirements for international students

Minimum overall test score required is 6.5. The individual band scores required: reading 6.0, listening 6.0, writing 6.0, speaking 6.0, or TOEFL 600 with a TWE of 5, or an internet-based TOEFL score of 100 with 24 plus in writing and no section lower than 20.

Special application requirements

International students may be required to take part in an interview.

Enrolment obligation

International students enrolling in a CRICOS-registered course can study no more than 25% of their course by distance and/or online learning. Students cannot enrol exclusively in distance and/or online learning study in any compulsory study period. See standard 9.4 of The National Code 2007.
