Course overview

This course provides students with a pathway into the third year of the Bachelor of Business and Commerce degree.

The program comprises 16 units, including four core units chosen from accounting, business law, economics, business statistics, management and marketing. Students then select either a major or two sub-majors from accounting, business law, economics, human resource management, international business, management or marketing. Electives may be undertaken from within or outside the faculty.

Career outlook

Depending on the area of major study undertaken, graduates can find work in many occupations, including financial analyst, human resources officer and public relations manager, as well as in marketing, accountancy, international trade, administration and advertising.

VCE prerequisites

Units 1 and 2-any two units from general mathematics and/or mathematical methods (either). Units 3 and 4-a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.

International Baccalaureate subject prerequisites

English and one of mathematical studies or further mathematics SL or mathematics HL or mathematics SL, minimum grade of 4 required.
