The course offers students a critical understanding of the theoretical and practical issues relating to applied linguistics, including second/foreign language acquisition, language teaching, language contact and intercultural communication. Students complete three core and three elective units.
The course is available in three streams: general applied linguistics; Japanese applied linguistics; and English as an international language.
