Course overview

The course explores the many issues raised by the rapidly changing nature of the contemporary international system. Students choose two electives from areas including wars of recognition, terrorism and political violence, fringe politics and extremist violence, political Islam, strategic studies and culture, norms and ideas in international politics. It is particularly suitable for those interested in pursuing careers in areas such as government, diplomacy, business, teaching and journalism. Students who successfully complete the course may apply for the Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations.
