The course offers practical employment skills that are transferable across any number of different careers. In addition to developing a broad and critical understanding, the course is designed to foster an intellectual and cultural curiosity as preparation for lifelong learning.
With this double degree, you'll improve your life and employment opportunities. The international perspective and highly developed scientific skills you'll gain will help shape careers in international relations or trade, foreign affairs, diplomacy, politics and government, environmental research and planning and international not-for-profit organisations, as well as in traditional and emerging areas of science.
Accreditation by the Australian Psychological Society (Monash psychology program).
Certified chemist status with the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (for students who complete an approved program in chemistry).
Graduate membership of the Australian Institute of Physics (for students who complete an approved major sequence in physics, plus required units in mathematics).
TAFE Diploma graduates
To be considered, applicants who have completed VCE or its equivalent and who are applying with a science-based diploma will require a minimum average result of at least 70%
Applicants who have not completed VCE but have completed a science-based diploma will require a minimum average results of at least 80%
TAFE Certificate IV graduates
Science-based certificate IV level studies will be considered where the applicant has average results of 80% or above. For applicants who have also completed VCE, both qualifications will be considered. No credit is granted for these studies.
University
Two single units satisfy minimum entry requirements, but more units may be useful for selection, especially in science areas. Applicants should have at least a 70% average in their studies.
Studies must have been completed within a five years of intended commencement.
Units 3 and 4-one of biology, chemistry, mathematical methods (CAS), physics, geography, psychology or specialist mathematics, and a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.

IELTS 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0
