This four-unit course is designed for registered teachers who wish to update their skills and teach current mathematics using the newest methods. By completing a minor in mathematics, students either add mathematics as a teaching area to their knowledge base or deepen their understanding of mathematics topics in the context of teaching. The topics have been chosen to be the most relevant to secondary mathematics. The course provides students with a pathway into the Graduate Diploma of Science enabling them to complete a major in tertiary mathematics.
