Entry requirements

English requirements for international students

Gaining the required result in one of the following tests of English language:

IELTS score of 7.0 with no individual band score less than 6.5.

A TOEFL minimum test score of either:

in the written TOEFL, 600 with a Test of Written English (TWE) score of at least 5.0; or

in the internet-based TOEFL, an overall score of at least 100 with at least 24 in the written section and no less than 20 in any other section.

Professional references + statement outlining reasons for undertaking the course and benefits to your future career path

(Note: if applying for a fee funded place, applicants must be working in low or middle income countries in the Asia-Pacific region and be in a position to contribute to the strengthening of health research ethics policy and processes in their country after the coruse - letter of support from your institution or employer expressing commitments to leave your position open for the duration of the course, and to ensure that on your return to work your role in the organisation will involve research bioethics.)
