Entry requirements

Minimum entrance requirements

Equivalent Australian Year 12.

VCE prerequisites

Units 3 and 4-a study score of at least 35 in English (ESL) or 30 in any other English and a study score of at least 30 in chemistry.

International Baccalaureate subject prerequisites

  • A score of at least 5 in English SL or 4 in English HL or 6 in English B SL or 5 in English B HL, and
  • A score of at least 5 in chemistry SL or 4 in chemistry HL.

Special application requirements

Local students NOT applying directly from completing VCE,(eg: graduates, TAFE, other university) applicants must complete and submit a Monash Supplementary Information Form online, see the VTAC admissions webpage http://www.adm.monash.edu.au/admissions/vtac by the date specified on the form. Applicants will be ranked for interview according to their ENTER (or equivalent) and Grade Point Average (GPA), as well as their responses to the supplementary form, and will be notified, if required, to attend an interview in December by telephone or email.

Current Monash students applying for a course transfer to this course need to complete a Course Transfer Application and the Monash Supplementary Information Form. Refer to http://www.med.monash.edu.au/nutrition-dietetics/entry/index.html.

All international students studying Year 12 and IB in Australia, DO NOT need to complete a Monash Supplementary Information Form. They should apply through VTAC as a school leaver. Other international applicants are not required to complete the supplementary form.

Non School Leaver International students are NOT required to attend an interview EXCEPT for Graduate Entry applicants applying to gain a place from Year 3 of the Nutrition and Dietetics Course at Monash.
