Growing awareness of the link between poor diets and widespread health problems is pushing dieticians to the forefront of health care.
Research also shows how the right diet can help treat diseases, enabling dieticians to play an important role in the care of people with illness.
Our course provides hands-on practical experience in a range of healthcare and research settings, including our new Translational Physiology Laboratory, which features a sleep laboratory, commercial kitchen, exercise spaces and sample-collection areas.
You will have to opportunity to learn from researchers who have established the link between high-energy diets in children and cardiovascular disease in adults, how daily doses of dark chocolate can lower stroke risk, and the potential of high-protein supplements to help boys with muscular dystrophy.
The course integrates teaching and clinical practice and offers a range of major studies in population health, research and food services management, giving you many career options.
