Why study Graduate Certificate in Forensic Studies (Accounting)?

The Graduate Certificate in Forensic Studies (Accounting) has been designed for accounting practitioners who may be involved in litigation. Developed by the Monash University Forensic Studies Program in conjunction with the Australian Advocacy Institute and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA), this course is a well-established qualification in this growing professional area. This course is particularly relevant for accounting professionals who interact with the legal profession and those required to give expert evidence in court. It is also ideal for those who wish to move into the forensic accounting field or update their skills in this area. This course will combine online learning with three compulsory face to face sessions (2-3 days for each session), held at the Monash Law School chambers in Melboune's legal precinct. The course program is designed to minimise interference with practice. A workshop approach is employed during face to face sessions, and places are limited. The units can be taken as electives in Monash Master of Business courses within the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Led by Professor the Hon. George Hampel AM QC, the team is made up of senior practitioners and educators from both the legal and accounting professions, thus providing a multifaceted perspective to the course.
