Course overviewThis course is designed for students who wish to combine knowledge of biomedical science with a solid foundation in legal principles and practice. The Monash law degree will teach you the concepts, procedures and reasoning surrounding the Australian legal system, as well as a range of universal skills such as problem solving, presentation techniques and analytical skills. You will undertake a number of compulsory units including criminal law, administrative law, property law and torts and also choose several elective units allowing you to focus on a specific area of law, or undertake units from different legal disciplines so you can gain a broad understanding of issues across the legal spectrum.Your options in the biomedical science degree range from human biology, anatomy, biochemistry and preventative medicine to genetics, immunology, microbiology, pharmacology and physiology. Your knowledge of both science and law will enhance career prospects across the biomedical, biotechnology and legal sectors.
