2015 international qualification entry requirements and scores for this course are available from the Undergraduate Qualifications Database.

English and any mathematics (Australian equivalent Year 12)

Minimum entrance requirements for non-school-leavers

All applicants must meet the University's English requirements, as well as any other minimum entry requirements and listed course prerequisites. Post-secondary IT-related studies can substitute for the VCE maths prerequisite for this course. In cases where an applicant has completed studies higher than at secondary level, the applicant's entire academic record can be taken into consideration in order to meet the Faculty's entry requirements for the course.

TAFE

A completed Certificate IV with at least a Distinction (70%) grade average or a completed Diploma with at least a Credit (60%) average is sufficient to meet eligibility requirements.

Certificate IVs and Diplomas can be from any field of study.

Transcripts must provide with graded results. Transcripts listing only competency-based grades will not be considered. Diplomas that are IT-related can receive up to a maximum of 48 points of first year level credit.

UNIVERSITY

An approved pathway program of at least two approved information technology-related units can be undertaken. A credit average is required to be competitive for selection.

COURSE TRANSFERS

Applicants currently studying at other universities are advised to undertake information technology-related units in their current degree.

  • Applicants who meet entry requirements of the course with their previous Year 12 (or equivalent) qualification, require a minimum of two completed university units to be considered for admission.
  • Applicants who do not meet entry requirements with their previous Year 12 (or equivalent) qualification, must complete at least one semester (four units) of university study, with a credit (60%) average.
  • Applicants without Year 12 level mathematics must undertake at least two information technology-related units in their current degree.
