Course overviewThe Master of Traffic is offered by the Monash Institute of Transport Studies through the Department of Civil Engineering. Monash has been offering transport education and research programs for more than 35 years, during which time it has developed a national and international reputation in the field. In 1995, the Institute of Transport Studies became a Key Centre of Teaching and Research in Transport Management. This course offers students an opportunity to explore traffic operation issues such as traffic congestion, traffic management, road safety and intelligent transport systems. The program has been designed for those who work in traffic engineering, road safety, and civil and environmental engineering. Studies include traffic fundamentals, parking policy and design, public transport and road traffic engineering and management. If you enrol in an additional four units in transport studies, you will be awarded both the Master of Traffic and the Master of Transport.
