Career opportunities

If you want to practice professionally as an architect, the Bachelor of Architectural Design is the first of the two degrees you will need. Once you successfully complete it, you're guaranteed entry into our two-year Master of Architecture.

With the Master of Architecture, you will be ready to practise. Our constantly changing built environment means a continual demand for architects exists in Australia and internationally.

Professional recognitions

Australian

The Monash architecture program is fully accredited. When you graduate from the five-year, Bachelor of Architectural Design and Master of Architecture program, you will meet the academic requirements for registration as an architect in Australia.

To register as an architect in Australia, you must also complete an additional two years of professional practice experience and pass the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia Architectural Practice Examination. For more details visit the Architecture Registration Board of Victoria.

As an architecture graduate, you will have to grapple with problems not yet imagined. Not simply a technician in the world of today, you will be a participant in shaping the world of tomorrow.
