Course overview
The course develops skills in translation to and from English and another language and builds students' awareness of practical and theoretical approaches to translation and translation studies. The languages available are Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. Other languages may be available, depending on student numbers. Students will undertake a translation project and a range of electives, enabling them to work on topics tailored to their interests, whether vocational or theoretical/ literary. Electives include a unit that focuses on the work of the professional translator.
