Master of Music Studies for 2010

Course overview

This course is designed for musicians who wish to develop a greater knowledge, understanding and competence in music. Students acquire skills in research methods and techniques and develop the capacity for critical reflection and informed assessment in their area of music specialisation. Vocational outcomes include musicology, ethnomusicology and world music, composition, music education and pedagogy, contemporary music and Australian music. Exit points: Students who have successfully completed one semester of the course may apply to exit with a Graduate Certificate of Arts. Those who have completed one year full-time may apply to exit with a Graduate Diploma in Music Studies.
