International fee per 48 credit points
48 credit points represents a standard full-time course load for a year
$ 31,990 AUD
This is an accelerated course where you will be required to undertake 1 x 6 credit point unit more than the Standard Annual Load of 48 credit points on two occasions during the course of the degree in order to complete the course in five calendar years. The fee quoted is based on 48 credit points of study for one standard year. Therefore you will be required to pay a higher fee in the two semesters in which you overload, more than the standard 24 credit points per semester.

Entry requirements

VCE prerequisites

Units 3 and 4-a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English and a study score of at least 25 in mathematical methods (CAS) and in one of chemistry or physics.

International Baccalaureate subject prerequisites

  • A score of at least 4 in English SL or 3 in English HL or 5 in English B SL or 4 in English B HL, and
  • A score of at least 4 in mathematics SL or 4 in further mathematics SL or 3 in mathematics HL, and
  • A score of at least 4 in chemistry SL or 3 in chemistry HL or 4 in physics SL or 3 in physics HL.

English requirements for international students

IELTS 6.5 overall with no band less than 6.0; or TOEFL 580 with a TWE of 4.5; or an Internet-based TOEFL score of 90 with 22 in Writing and no section lower than 20.

Special application requirements

VTAC APPLICANTS:

Application Kit: Applicants must download a kit online by 26 September. Applicants can also access the kit at Open Day. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Applicants must complete and submit the kit by 10 October.

Interview and folio presentation (short-listed applicants only): Details will be sent to applicants by 6 November. Applicants must attend in November. Advisory letters will be sent to applicants by 12 December.

DIRECT APPLICANTS:

International Applicants: All applicants must submit a folio of 10-15 images of their work for assessment. Please refer to the Faculty of Art & Design website for further information.

This course is currently not available to international students.

Enrolment obligation

International students enrolling in a CRICOS-registered course can study no more than 25% of their course by distance and/or online learning. Students cannot enrol exclusively in distance and/or online learning study in any compulsory study period. See standard 9.4 of The National Code 2007.
