Career opportunities

An Honours degree in the visual arts in the visual arts can lead to a career as an artist or teacher, or to work in museums, galleries, community arts programs, art and design consultancies or conservation organisations.

This course offers advanced studies in the practice of visual arts and provides students with the opportunity to intensively study areas of specialisation of their own choice. Studies focus on research concepts, strategies, methods, and the skills to apply them in the areas of visual arts.

Students study advanced research subjects and complete a major visual arts project. Honours level work is evaluated through peer group activity, both within and external to the University.

Caulfield Campus: Theory of Art and Design
