Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health for 2009

Course overview

This course is designed for the workplace professional to expand their knowledge and skills in preventive occupational health practice. It provides the basic knowledge in legal occupational health and safety requirements and competence in assessing and controlling workplace hazards. The course can lead to the Graduate Diploma in Occupational and Environmental Health and then the Master of Occupational and Environmental Health or the Master of Public Health. The four core units cover studies in assessment and control of workplace hazards, introduction to occupational health and safety, chemical and biological hazards, environmental health risk assessment.
