The course is designed for those who have completed their undergraduate degree and see their future in educational research. It also offers a direct pathway to doctoral studies. The course provides students with an understanding of various research methods in education; an understanding of complex issues in education; and an ability to design, frame, conduct and report on significant educational issues.
Graduates can pursue a career in teaching or in educational research. The Monash Honours award marks the recipient as having in-depth knowledge and advanced research skills, and gives them an edge in the job market.
