TAFE

Students who have completed certificate or diploma-level TAFE courses are unlikely to be offered a place due to strong competition for places. The faculty requires high achievement in VCE Chemistry, English (any), Mathematical Methods and Biology (or equivalent). Studies in VCE Biology and/or Physics are also recommended. In considering applicants for admission, the faculty will only consider studies completed no more than ten years prior to admission.

University

The faculty prefers applicants to have completed the equivalent of a full year of study in an undergraduate degree (eg science or biomedical science). A high level of academic achievement at tertiary level should be demonstrated.

Prerequisite studies can be met at either the VCE or tertiary level.
