This course provides medical or health professionals with the skills necessary to manage clinical health care systems. The degree gives a broad framework from which to manage clinical health care with attention to human resources, finances, information management, medico-legal, political, cultural, economic, ethical, industrial, technological and psychosocial issues. Students complete seven core units and one elective. Core studies include law for health systems, clinical leadership and management, principles of health care quality improvement, financial issues in health care management, health systems policy, introduction to epidemiology & biostatistics and reform and development. The course can lead to the Master of Health Services Management or the Master of Public Health.
Graduates may gain employment within the Medical, Nursing and Allied Health fields as clinicians with management responsibility or interest. Careers may also develop in the areas of general hospital administration, quality assurance management, health care coordination, or case management. This degree is accredited with the Australian College of Health Service Executives (ACHSE) for College entry and advancement purposes.

Either a medical degree, honours degree or postgraduate diploma in a relevant discipline with an average of credit or above or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university with relevant professional experience in health services management. Applicants are also required to have at least two years relevant professional experience in a health-related field.
Gaining the required result in one of the following tests of English language:
IELTS score of 7.0 with no individual band score less than 6.5.
A TOEFL minimum test score of either:
in the written TOEFL, 600 with a Test of Written English (TWE) score of at least 5.0; or
in the internet-based TOEFL, an overall score of at least 100 with at least 24 in the written section and no less than 20 in any other section.
