Course overviewThe double degree provides the knowledge, understanding and skills used in science journalism. Students explore the role of science and media in society, modern multimedia technology and science communication. For the arts component, students complete a journalism major and an arts minor. The course encourages a comparative journalism approach and knowledge of a second language. Final-year students have the opportunity to take work experience overseas. The science component includes a major and minor, two science core units and additional science electives in biology, chemistry, environmental and resource management, human physiology, applied statistics, mathematics and computing.
