Course overview
This broad, multidisciplinary degree allows students to study the combination of units that best suits their individual or professional aims. The program is highly flexible and allows students to take a wide range of electives from across the Faculty of Art and Design and the university.
Students take a common first year, providing a sound introduction to both practice and theory in the visual arts before selecting a major discipline and a choice of elective units. Majors include painting, sculpture, printmedia, photomedia and visual arts studio. Studies also include the theory of art and design, drawing and professional practice. Electives can also be chosen from the studio areas, as well as from elsewhere in the university.
