Course overview

The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education focuses on teaching and children's learning and covers the key learning areas of the arts, English, mathematics, health and physical education, science, SOSE (Studies of Society and Environment), and technology. Practical experience is gained in a range of early childhood settings including kindergartens, childcare centres and primary schools, with opportunities for teaching practice overseas. Students also gain a deep understanding of a wide range of topics, issues and theories associated with the learning and development of children from birth to 12 years, leading to a thorough professional preparation for a career as an early childhood educator.
